VISION & MISSION
The FNC is the seed of Heart Place and where our non-profit grew from. Generations of parents and children passed through our doors over decades. As their needs for services and community expanded so did the Family Nurturing Centre. Taking the essence of our circle sharing's and support, education around compassionate care into what Heart Place is today.
Our Current Vision grew from the experiences of 1000's of parents and students. Below is our original vision and mission which still informs us today.
Our Vision: We believe in a world where ‘caring communities’ share the values of cooperation, respect for difference, equality of opportunity & access to essential resources. A world that prioritises nurturing & the facilitation of relationships based on empathy, kindness & non-violence. A world that seeks above all else to protect the health of its children and its children’s planetary home.
We recognise that all humans are interconnected & that each of us in our own way helps to create this world. Healthy attachments are essential to the optimal health of humans of all ages. Simple moments where we take a breath & attune to the present have great value in creating this world. In these simple moments we build trust, communication & compassion for each other, we build relationship, family and community.
We invite you to come share simple moments with us.
The FNC's mission is to support families through the provision of resources, services and education to lay the foundations of mental health & well being in the family. Through revitalising caring communities & connecting families that align themselves with the spirit of nurturing, empathy & cooperation, children flourish & the whole society benefits.

Training in Mindful Touch & Baby Massage New 4 week Term: Aug 7th-28th

Ashley Montagu refers to touch as the ‘Mother of all senses. Touch & the interaction that flows as you learn all the baby massage movements, rhythms, & songs, facilitates attachment & bonding, helping you to gain confidence in early parenting, caring for self & baby.
Our classes are poly-vagal, trauma informed and mindfulness based. supporting you to attune to baby and strengthen your stress regulation skills at the same time.

We are a yoga class & a whole lot more. Yoga is the glue that brings us together. Our basic intention is to support you in creating a loving peaceful family and to take care of yourself in the process.
We are the original baby yoga centre in Perth.
Classes combine restorative yoga to care for your back & hips with mindful yoga to care for your mental health & wellbeing.
We are also focused on the babies with baby yoga, singing, rhythm, infant massage & loving touch. Good old fashioned community and lots of fun! Make new friends.

Mindful Birth Workshop
Taking Expressions of Interest
Our 4 hour workshop is an integration of Pregnancy Yoga & Mindfulness Training, to support you in your birth journey & into parenthood.
We will share resources & information gained from 35 years of experience supporting mums & new families in WA.
Course includes a Resilience Tool Kit for Parents & understanding of the fundamentals of attachment & bonding.
Plus Introduction to Baby Massage
